$1 Million Renovation Set for Window World
AKRON, OH – Window World of Akron local owners, Fred Moran, Pat Moran and Patrick Moran announce the $1 Million renovation of their showroom and warehouse located at 2424 Gilchrist Road, Akron, Ohio. The family owned replacement window company is anticipating double digit growth in the coming years, advancing the need for additional office staff, sales professionals and installation crews of windows, entry doors and vinyl siding.
Groundbreaking is set for Tuesday, December 6th at 10:00 AM at the Gilchrist Road location. Expected completion is May, 2017.
The extensive transformation of the current building will feature a timeless facade, featuring glass and stone elements to enhance the environment from both Gilchrist Road and the view from Interstate 76, just south of the Gilchrist exit.
The Moran family purchased the business and building from the previous owner in December, 2015. A substantial increase in business in the Akron / Canton areas and future growth expectations led to the renovation of the building, which will include a 3000-square foot showroom with the same size warehouse and loading dock on the lower level.
“We are excited about our continued growth in Northeastern Ohio, and this major investment in Akron will serve to accommodate our progress while expanding our presence even further”, comments Fred Moran, Pat’s father and Patrick’s grandfather.
Window World of Akron is the sixth Window World franchise owned and operated by the Moran family. They also own Window World franchises in Youngstown, Pittsburgh, Toledo, Steubenville and Cleveland.
Customers visiting Window World of Akron will be able view an extensive display of replacement windows in multiple styles, as well as entry doors, storm doors and vinyl siding, helping them visualize how these exterior remodeling elements will enhance their home.
“We will have every kind of window displayed, from the simple double hung style to the full-size bay and bow styles”, says Pat Moran. “Real insulated siding in various styles and colors will adorn the walls, helping our customers choose the color and size best for their home and taste.”
Lead designer of the project is Robert Mastriana, partner and architect with The 4M Company, Youngstown, Ohio. “This will be a unique transformation, mixing residential styling with the contemporary flair of today’s architectural retail trend,” notes Mastriana. “The transparent design and exterior lighting will allow people to view the interior elements of the showroom from both inside and outside, and at all times of day.”
